S. O. Frimpong Transport Limited (SOFT) has always put at its fore the safe delivery of hazardous and passengers across the country and beyond.
To achieve this, SOFT has a formidable competency assurance process that produces competent and skilled staff to adapt to the evolving environment. Based on this, SOFT developed a Quarterly Driver Quiz system which sought to test and recognize this contribution of drivers.
This initiative was commended by PUMA Energy Ghana and later adopted by them into the now PUMA Energy Transporters Quiz. Currently SOFT holds the title as the Best PUMA Energy Transporter.
- Won four consecutive Best Vivo Energy Ghana Transporter of the year awards (2015 - 2018), and currently the Best Vivo Energy Ghana Transporter.
- Won four Ghana National Road Safety Awards (Three in Dry Cargo and One in Wet Cargo) - 2013 and 2015.
- SOFT CEO out doored as a National Road Safety Goodwill Ambassador by the National Road Safety Authority in 2018.
- Obtained ISO 45001:2018, 14001:2015 and 9001:2015 Certification.
VIVO ENERGY GHANA
SOFT has transported for Vivo Energy Ghana (VEGH) over 40 years. The journey begun with Shell Ghana and continued further to Vivo Energy. Within this time frame SOFT has transported over eight hundred million liters of wet cargo over twelve million kilometers and utilized over 6-million-man hours. Our partnership transcends beyond haulage into other areas of corporate social responsibilities.
SOFT has partnered VEGH and the National Road Safety Authority on numerous occasions to train third party drivers on defensive driving. In recent times, SOFT partnered VEGH to organized the STOP THINK AND DRIVE Campaign which saw the training of commercial drivers within the golden triangle (Accra, Kumasi, Tarkoradi).
ZEN PETROLEUM
SOFT was one of the initial transporters to partner with ZEN Petroleum (ZEN} when they started mines operations in Ghana. SOFT has remarkable history and experience in the mining sector, thus it came as no surprise when ZEN contracted SOFT to be one of its major transporters in the mining sector.
With over thirty years of experience with emphasis on safety operations, SOFT has rich history in transporting petroleum product to various mines including the Newmont Mines, Goldfields Mines and several others across Ghana.
PUMA ENERGY GHANA
SOFT has worked with PUMA Energy for several years since its days as UBI and have leveraged from its rich experience in Health and Safety. As one of the leading OMCs in Health and Safety, SOFT has partnered PUMA to train HGV drivers on defensive driving through its virtual platforms. Recently PUMA introduced a driver trainer course through its partnership with Transaid to train trainers on defensive driving.
SOFT has always been able to engage the leadership of PUMA Energy through the monthly transporter KPI meeting, where all matters arising are resolved. Also, in support of the Green Agenda of PUMA Energy, SOFT embarked on a tree planting campaign with PUMA Energy leadership to plant a tree within the premises of SOFT.
GOil GHANA
Goil is one of the leading OMCs within the country and is one of SOFT’s clients.
SOFT has transported over 40 million liters of petroleum product for Goil to
various mining sites within the country.
Goil has well-structured operations with strict compliance with safety standards.
SOFT has transported for Goil without any recordable incident over the years.
